Dr. Sara Tonelli has a background in Computational Linguistics and leads the Digital Humanities research group at Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Italy. She has been involved in several projects and collaborations with museums and historical archives, with the goal to extract and model textual information from heterogeneous sources. In the last years, she has extensitely worked on social media monitoring and hate speech detection. Her research interests are highly interdisciplinary, trying to apply and adapt advanced text analysis approaches to social sciences and historical investigation.
